How to use this tool

FAQ
The tool says my PDF has no fillable fields. Why?
The file has no AcroForm fields. It is either a scanned image of a paper form, or a flattened form where fields were already baked in. You cannot type into either; use the sign tool to place text on such pages instead.
Are XFA (LiveCycle) forms supported?
No, only standard AcroForm fields are read and filled. XFA forms, common in some government and banking documents, are a different technology and cannot be processed here.
Editable or flattened, which should I pick?
Editable keeps every field fillable, useful when the recipient still needs to complete parts of the form. Flattened turns your values into permanent page content, which is what most agencies expect on submission.
