FAQ

How do the %P, %N and %D tokens work?

They are replaced per page: %P becomes the page number, %N the total page count, %D today's date (YYYY-MM-DD). For example 'Draft %P/%N' prints 'Draft 3/12' on page 3.

Can I add a header without a footer (or vice versa)?

Yes. Leave the field you do not want empty; only the fields with text are stamped.

Will the text overlay existing content?

The stamp is drawn in the top and bottom margins of each page. If a page has content reaching into those margins, the stamp can overlap it — check the result and adjust your text if needed.

Is this different from page numbers or a watermark?

It overlaps with both but is freer: page numbers stamp only numbers, watermarks repeat faint text across the page. Use this tool for titles, dates, confidentiality notes or file references.
