N-Up PDF

N-Up PDF is a free tool that imposes multiple pages of a PDF onto a single A4 portrait sheet — 2-up stacked or 4-up in a grid. Pages keep their aspect ratio, sit centered in each cell, and an optional border separates them. Everything is composed locally in your browser.

FAQ

Do the pages get cropped or stretched?

No. Each page is scaled down uniformly to fit its cell and centered, so the aspect ratio never changes. Mixed page sizes work too; every page simply fits its own cell.

When is N-up useful?

For printing drafts, handouts, receipts or archives where full-size pages are wasteful. 2-up is common for reviewing text; 4-up for quick thumbnails of slides.

Can I get landscape output or 6/9-up layouts?

Not yet. This tool deliberately offers the two most common layouts on A4 portrait. If you need other sheet sizes, resize the PDF first, then impose it.
