PDF to Word
PDF to Word is a free tool that extracts the text layer of a PDF and rebuilds it as a Word .docx document locally in your browser. Paragraph order is kept so you can edit the content right away; layout is not rebuilt one to one. Nothing is uploaded.

FAQ
Is the layout copied exactly?
No, and that is the honest framing: this tool converts text content and paragraph order, not the visual layout. Fonts, columns, tables and images are not rebuilt one to one. The result is a clean, editable document rather than a pixel copy.
What happens with scanned PDFs?
Scanned PDFs contain pictures of text, not a text layer, so there is nothing to extract. The tool tells you when this happens; run the OCR tool first to recognize the text on your device, then convert the result.
Are images and tables transferred?
Images are not extracted by this tool; use Extract Images for those. Simple table text comes across as sequential text lines, which usually needs light cleanup in Word.
Is the file uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is parsed and the .docx is assembled by JavaScript on your device. You can even go offline after the page loads and the conversion still works.
